The Medvigy Lab at the University of Notre Dame is looking to recruit 1-2 new Ph.D. students for 2022. Our lab is focused primarily on forest ecosystem modeling. Specific current projects focus on liana-tree interactions, plant hydraulics, and allocation. However, all candidates who are interested in ecosystem modeling will be considered. This position includes guaranteed support in the form of a competitive stipend, full tuition waiver and benefits. Research assistantships may be available, depending on the candidate’s particular area of interest. More information on the graduate program at the University of Notre Dame can be found at https://biology.nd.edu/graduate/graduate-studies-overview/.

Applicants should be highly self-motivated, have at least one year of research experience and possess a strong interest in ecosystem modeling. Actual ecosystem modeling experience is preferred but not required.

Interested candidates should send their CV and a brief expression of interest to David Medvigy ([email protected]).
